2024 and still listening to this song, such an underrated song

my name is Vian-it’s a very rare name and i’ve never met someone with it. a few months ago, i was at an extremely low point. i found the song completely by accident while driving. i looked down to read the song and artist name, and saw “things will get better, Vian” it sounds so silly but i remember bawling after. it was a coincidence, but it felt so personal. i had never even seen my name in any other context before. and here i am, months later and once again experiencing an extremely low point, and i’m coming back to this song. because things will get better, Vian.

oh my god i cried so hard listening to this. im currently in the process of getting out of my transphobic parent's house and i have a long road ahead of me. thank you so much for your beautiful music, i listened to its the new year on repeat for like a week and now Im doing the same with this song ❤❤ Edit: I just looked on spotify and theres so many (2024) songs i havent listened to. Time to binge!!

The absolute irony of talking about individualism and AI in the same sentence. AI "art" is plagiarism in its most basic form. It exists because it has been trained off actual art by humans, very often against their will. Some of it may look pretty on the surface, but it has no soul, no story to be told. Artists are being pushed aside and let go from their jobs because companies are turning to AI as a cheap alternative and churning out slop instead of legitimate art. By its very definition, that is the opposite of individualism. This is really, really disappointing. I've been a fan of yours for years now, but no longer feel comfortable listening to your music knowing this. I hope one day you are able to see this issue from the other side and realise the harm that generative AI continues to cause artists.

Amazing song, I think it sounds amazing. Though, as something I noticed, the lack of lyrics to finish off the phrasing after 'now' makes it feel a little short, as if something was missing something without the rhyme at the end. I don't know if this was the desired effect or it was intentional, but it just sat a little strange to me when I listened to it. Despite that, the music is amazing and the lyrics have such a strong and meaningful presence. Such a wonderful song.
